• Essential Criteria
• A working knowledge of the NIE Networks Safety Rules
• Demonstrable capability to promote a strong safety culture, including intervening promptly to challenge unsafe behaviours and stopping work where necessary to prevent risk or harm.
• Practical knowledge of overhead line construction methods, including working at height and lifting operations
• A fully qualified Overhead Linesperson with a minimum of three years post apprenticeship experience, or A minimum of three consecutive years working in a Linesperson role on the overhead lines network
• Practical understanding of CDM duties, temporary works principles, and electrical safety requirements specific to overhead lines.
• Previous experience in interpreting drawings, specifications, and network schematics.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to verify measures and appropriately challenge claims.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to support reporting and data analysis.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively to sites.
Desirable Criteria
• Relevant industry accreditations for working on Overhead Lines, such as MEWP operations, winch operation, Appointed Person/Lifting Supervisor certification.
• Experience within an electricity utility or Overhead Lines contractor (3 years or more) delivering construction or refurbishment programmes.
